Are you eligible for AHI certification?

Allied Health Instructor (AHI) applicants shall meet one of the following eligibility requirements.

Required Documentation

Education

Applicant shall have teaching experience instructing in a healthcare-related field for at least 2 years within the past 5 years.

AND shall have either:

  • Graduated from an accredited allied healthcare program or course of study OR
  • Hold a professional certification in his or her field of instruction from a nationally recognized certification organization.

No exam required

If graduated from an accredited program:

  • Copies of your transcripts showing educational attainment and/or proof of highest degree earned in a healthcare-related field.
  • Three letters of recommendation verifying at least 2 years of teaching experience in a healthcare-related field within the past 5 years.
    • Letter of recommendations must be on company letterhead, signed/dated, and provide the start and end dates of your teaching experience.

If holding a professional certification:

  • Proof of certification in the field of instruction from the issuing agency.
  • Three letters of recommendation verifying at least 2 years of teaching experience in a healthcare-related field within the past 5 years.
    • Letter of recommendations must be on company letterhead, signed/dated, and provide the start and end dates of your teaching experience.

I would recommend this certification to others. While it is fine to have experience in allied health instruction, having an organization such as 不良研究所reviewing that experience and providing documentation of proficiency based on a variety of factors is a benefit to anyone in this profession!
