I bought this beautiful slice of agate during a weekend getaway to Ojai and knew it would be perfect as a necklace. So I grabbed a few tools and supplies from my stash and went to work.

Supplies:

- Slice of agate or any fun treasure from your vacations such as a sea shell or pretty rock

- Jewelry wire

- Jump ring

- Pliers

- Wire cutter

- Long chain

Step 1

Wrap wire around the agate

Step 2

Thread wire through jump ring

Step 3

Attach both ends of the chain to the jump ring

Here’s a photo of another necklace I’ve made with rock also using this technique just to give you more ideas for other random pretty things you may have collected over the years.
