I’m in the mood for some ear candy…  I’ve been searching around and these Rachel Leigh Cleo Teardrop earrings will add the perfect touch of elegance for my next cocktail party. I love how the jewelry line is handmade with 14K antique gold.

It’s so much fun to have pretty glasses to serve tasty cocktails in and I love these vintage martini glasses with etched details for a super glamorous feel.

  • 3 1/2 ounces fresh pink grapefruit juice
  • grapefruit wedge for garnish
  • 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 ounce orange liqueur
  • 2 ounces vodka

Shake the above ingredients plus ice in a cocktail shaker. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with grapefruit.  For a little sparkle, dip the rim of the martini glass in sugar. Yum!

I love that she mixes new raw brass that is heated and darkened to look old with vintage glass jewels for her designs.  They have that perfect drop of whimsy to make you feel pretty and polished and the same time.  To top it off, I know you will be thoroughly shocked when you see the price tag…

I can’t seem to open up a weekly mag without seeing a celeb wearing a piece from Nicole Richie’s jewelry line, House of Harlow 1960.

House of Harlow is refreshingly inspired and affordable ($50 -$250).  I love the 60′s glam and use of interesting materials such as leather, jewels, silk strings and gold plated metal.

Nicole is a smart cookie for partnering with renowned Jewelry House, Mouawad. Pascal Mouawad has been responsible for many other super successful collaborations such as with Heidi Klum for The Heidi Klum Collection and watch brand Pop Watch with music mogul Jermaine Dupri.

I was lucky enough to be invited to a party at Pascal Mouawad’s home to celebrate the House of Harlow 1960 collection and received the famous leather drop necklace as a lovely parting gift.

This past Saturday afternoon one of my two best friends, Angela Vicari,  hosted her second clothing swap party at her Hollywood apartment.

It turns out clothing swap parties are a lot of fun and a great way to clean your closet of unwanted clothing, shoes and accessories and get something new in return. Anything that did not find a new home was donated to charity.

Lakal is a one-of-a-kind Jewelry store in Brentwood Village in Los Angeles.  The owner, Laura Roberts is a Certified Gemologist Appraiser and designs most all of the amazing pieces in the store. Many will tell you that Lakal has been in business for over 15 years because you feel so at home in the store, quality customer service and the unique jewelry many other stores lack.  Lakal offers so many beautiful things that it’s hard to choose what to tell my husband to get me for my upcoming birthday…  I wish!
